Black

In the darkest of dreams and
briefest of shadows,
You have lived on.
Behind veiled lids,
in tears of sorrow,
You have lived on.

Hypnotized I sit in
pink circles borrowed,
Shattered, for you,
to live on.
Mirrored, to be,
what I am not.
And you own this glass house,
You live on!

Keeper of keys, of looks
I love not.
As you whistle your warnings,
and live on.
I buy the flowers, untouched,
un-blossomed.
As the cold rain in you.. lives on.

In the longest of dreams and
brightest of shadows,
With eyes taped open,
you live on.
In the maddening crowds and
murdered sparrows.
Oblivious, innocent.. you live on.

The last one of them breaths is going.
With open eyes I meet the dark.
And your heart, the callous patient listener,
beats on, beats on..

And you, live on, live on, live on, live on, live on...
